The Gunther Werks 911 may be the sharpest reason yet to skip the next GT2 RS. According to a recent report by CARSCOOPS.COM, the tuner has partnered with former F1 racer and commentator Martin Brundle on a five-unit special called the Brundle Edition Turbo. Pricing has not been announced, but the spec sheet already reads like a track day wish list.
Gunther Werks 911 Engine Bay Breakdown
Beneath the skin sits a twin-turbocharged, air-cooled 4.0-liter flat-6 producing 860 horsepower and 610 lb-ft of torque. Mahle pistons, forged conrods, a billet crank, and individual throttle bodies handle the load. A Motec ECU manages the boost, while a Getrag six-speed manual sends everything to the rear wheels. According to Gunther Werks, the goal is raw, mechanical response. Fans of similar analog excess will appreciate the philosophy behind the 2026 Bugatti FKP Hommage.
Chassis Built for Mid-Corner Kerbs
Bespoke coilovers, custom anti-roll bars, and double-wishbone geometry keep the chassis composed. A front strut brace stiffens the nose, and the hydraulic nose lift protects the splitter over steep driveways. Six-piston Brembo calipers clamp 14-inch discs up front, with carbon-ceramic rotors available for serious brake fade resistance. For the Gunther Werks 911, chassis composure is the entire point, and the adjustable rear wing gives track rats a meaningful aero tuning option.

Carbon Shell, Brundle Blue Soul
Most exterior panels are carbon fiber, pulling curb weight down to roughly 2,700 lbs. Inside, lightweight carbon bucket seats wear black and red trim, and a Brundle quote on the dash reminds you what truly matters. Each car also includes a matching Bell HP77 helmet, a tasteful touch for owners who actually intend to drive.
Verdict: Five Cars, Zero Compromise
Brundle calls this car “remarkably civilized and usable,” and that claim deserves a hard look. Still, a 2,700 lb 911 with 860 horsepower and a manual gearbox is far from a gentle daily. Even so, the purity here is intoxicating. On paper, the Brundle Edition Turbo is a collector’s artifact, and five examples will likely trade at a premium for years. The Gunther Werks 911 is not just a rival to the GT2 RS. It is a rebuke of modern complexity.
