The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has always been a bargain in disguise. Now the UK market is finally correcting its steep list prices. Dealers are discounting unregistered stock by tens of thousands of pounds, and that changes the maths entirely.
Discounted Stock Hides a Supercar Bargain
Across the country, cars are listed with discounts between £47,000 and £53,000 off RRP. Most sit comfortably below £160,000. One brand-new right-hand-drive convertible drops under £145,000, which is a remarkable number for a car with this engine.
The catch is timing. The car is strictly a 2025 model, sitting unregistered for more than a year. When it finally leaves the dealer, it will wear a 76 plate. Even so, the saving roughly equals the cost of a low-mile Ferrari 12Cilindri rival’s depreciation curve, and that is hard to ignore.

Why the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Sings
The engine is the reason to care. This 5.5-litre V8 revs to 8,600rpm, and its flat-plane crank gives it the razor-sharp shriek that Ferrari fans will recognise from the 458. Throttle response is immediate, and the exhaust note climbs with real purpose.
Still, the Z06 is not a pure track weapon for British roads. Rutted surfaces and tight lanes expose its firm suspension, and long journeys can feel fidgety. Meanwhile, the Z07 pack sharpens the chassis even further, which only amplifies the compromise.
Is the Discount Worth Chasing?
On paper, this is a Carrera GTS rival priced below GT3 money. In reality, the cabin finally feels worthy of the performance, which was the car’s biggest historical weakness. According to Chevrolet, the C8 platform was engineered for exactly this kind of mid-engine dynamism.
Ultimately, the discounted Z06 is a driver’s car with a Ferrari soul at a bargain price. Expect enthusiasts to hunt these cars down once the C8 generation matures. Collectors will likely pay a premium for a clean, unregistered example in a few years.
