The 2027 Toyota RAV4 arrives with a handful of quiet upgrades, and the sticker climbs along with them. On paper, every model gains a backup camera washer and longer connected services. In reality, the plug-in changes are where this crossover truly evolves.
Toyota RAV4 Pricing Climbs Modestly
Front-drive LE pricing starts at $33,895, roughly $400 higher than last year. The SE climbs to $36,695, while the XLE Premium reaches $38,095. All-wheel drive adds $1,600 to any of those trims.
Woodland, the rugged trim, rises $755 to $42,250. Plug-in models begin at $43,695 for the entry SE, up $600. Toyota’s lifted Woodland concepts previewed this off-road direction at SEMA.

Woodland Gains Real Ground Clearance
Woodland versions receive revised springs, shocks, and jounce bumpers. Those components add one inch of ground clearance, lifting the crossover to 9.1 inches. Compared with 8.1 inches elsewhere, that gap matters on rutted gravel.
Redesigned all-weather mats round out the package. Every AWD model also gains Multi-Terrain Select, expanding its off-pavement versatility.
NACS Reshapes the PHEV Charging Story
Every Toyota RAV4 plug-in now uses a NACS port paired with Level 3 DC fast-charging. Toyota moved the port to the driver’s side, a layout that simplifies curbside plugging. Onboard charging also jumps to a maximum of 11 kW on every trim.
Such incremental steps rarely excite, but the charging curve tells a different story. Expect the Toyota RAV4 plug-in to hold its value well in the used market. Standard hybrids arrive later this year, with plug-ins following in early 2027. Explore the full lineup at the official Toyota site, or find more coverage at Auto News Magazine.
