Skoda Peaq luxury marks a deliberate shift for a brand known for sensible space and smart packaging. Skoda has rarely been the first name people associate with indulgence. The all-new Peaq changes that, arriving as the largest and most upscale vehicle the company has ever produced.
Inside the Skoda Peaq luxury cabin
Measuring almost five metres long, 1.7 metres tall and just over 1.8 metres wide, the Peaq is serious hardware. Its 2.9-metre wheelbase drives the cabin packaging, and that matters for the third row. Adults can actually sit back there without bargaining for knee room.
Both the first and second row seats recline, while optional adaptive suspension keeps the ride cloud-like. Boot space stands at 299 litres with all seven seats in use, growing to 890 litres with the rearmost seats folded. Rivals are sharpening their own charging networks, a shift we covered in our look at how Tesla’s charging crown is being challenged.

Relax Package Turns Charging Into Downtime
The optional Relax Package transforms the Peaq into a portable airport lounge. Front seats carry AGR back health certification, plus massage functionality, electrically adjustable leg rests and Comfort pillows. Stretching out on a long motorway run suddenly feels like a rest stop rather than an endurance test.
A 13.6in central touchscreen handles streaming, while a fold-away table doubles as a laptop workstation. Charging is the real headline, though. Thanks to 199kW capability, even the largest battery reaches 10-80% in around 28 minutes. Few rivals make a charging stop feel this productive.
Pricing Puts Pressure on Rivals
Prices start from £51,980, which undercuts several direct electric seven-seat competitors. The optional panoramic sunroof with Dynamic Shade Control adds to the premium feel. On paper, Skoda is engineering a luxury proposition without the usual badge tax. In reality, the Peaq’s success depends on whether buyers trust the brand’s upmarket credentials.
My prediction: the Peaq becomes the family hauler of choice in its class, and it will hold its value better than pricier European rivals if Skoda keeps its software clean. Still, the brand must prove its premium claims over years of ownership, not just in a launch brochure.
Ultimately, Skoda Peaq luxury delivers space, comfort and rapid charging at a price that challenges the segment. Read more at Auto News Magazine, and check the latest details at Skoda.
