This Custom Off-Road Go-Kart is not your average backyard toy. YouTuber Vasiliy Builds wants 300 horsepower, long-travel suspension, and eventually a license plate. Ambitious does not begin to cover it.
Hayabusa Heart Meets Long-Travel Ambition
Power comes from a Suzuki Hayabusa motorcycle engine, a powerplant that already carries serious legend. Vasiliy is bolting on a turbocharger to push output toward 300 horsepower. Comparable boost obsession shows up in the modified Dodge Charger that overwhelms its own gearbox.
Chassis duties fall to a tube frame with long-travel suspension. The goal is trophy-truck composure over rough terrain, not just cornering grip on a smooth track. On paper, a sub-1,000-pound machine with that output would embarrass plenty of supercars on power-to-weight.

Street Legal Is the Real Challenge
Still, packaging is the real headache. Cramming a turbocharged motorcycle engine, intake plumbing, and cooling hardware into a tight tube frame leaves little room for error. Active aero adds another layer of complexity to an already crowded engine bay.
Street legality is the bigger hurdle. Lights, signals, and emissions rules demand paperwork that no amount of horsepower can bypass. Vasiliy has openly admitted the build is not finished, and that honesty is refreshing.
Why This Crosskart Could Become a Cult Classic
Ultimately, this build sits at the intersection of motorcycle engineering and off-road obsession. Homebuilt Crosskarts rarely reach this level of ambition. Expect enthusiasts to treat a finished example as a collectible, though resale value will hinge on whether the street-legal paperwork ever clears.
Suzuki’s Hayabusa engine gives the project serious credibility. Whether this go-kart becomes a road-going legend or a garage-bound showpiece, it promises a hilarious, unforgettable ride. Follow the project on Auto News Magazine for updates.
