Fabrizio Giugiaro reworks his 1998 Gallardo into the CAVËN Atelier HOMMAGE 26, a carbon-fibre V10 limited to 25 cars.
CAVËN Hommage 26 Gallardo Unveiled With 560HP V10 and Gated Manual official exterior hero view
🚀 Key Takeaways:
• Fabrizio Giugiaro revisits his original 1998 Lamborghini Gallardo design in a carbon-fibre homage.
• A naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V10 revs to 8,500 rpm with 560 hp in Performance trim.
• Built in strictly 25 units from €900,000 excluding the donor car.

The CAVËN Atelier HOMMAGE 26 is Fabrizio Giugiaro returning to a car he drew in 1998. The Gallardo he sketched now gets a second pass, free of the production constraints of its era. Revealed at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, it opens the brand’s Designer Series with a clear statement about authorship.

CAVËN Atelier HOMMAGE 26 Rebuilds Gallardo

CAVËN Atelier calls this approach Design Authorship, and its philosophy is Respectful Evolution. Giugiaro, co-founder of GFG Style, argues that good ideas improve when they are worked on with care. Proportions follow the original concept, and that restraint is the point.

Pop-down headlights disappear when not needed, while active aerodynamic flaps manage airflow. The tail gains an opening rear window above the engine bay, letting the V10 speak directly to the driver. Fans of radical concepts will recall the Jaguar Type 01 by Sugar Design, though this project takes a far more classical route.

Only five elements carry over from the donor car: the roof, side windows, windscreen, mirrors, and mirror bases. Everything else is new carbon-fibre bodywork. That makes this a rebuilt design rather than a simple restyle, and it changes the economics completely.

V10 Power, Gated Manual, and Limited Run

Italtecnica reworked the 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V10 to spin to 8,500 rpm. The GT version makes 540 hp, while the Performance variant reaches 560 hp. Both use a six-speed manual gearbox, and the chassis adds new suspension with Comfort and Sport modes, upgraded brakes, and 20-inch wheels.

Production is capped at 25 units. Pricing starts at €900,000 before the donor car. Buyers also get priority for future Designer Series projects, with the next one due in 2027.

Still, the business case depends on collectors who value authorship over outright performance. My prediction: the first 25 will trade as collectibles within a few years, provided the Designer Series keeps its credibility. Lamborghini’s original Gallardo lineage remains documented on the official Lamborghini website. For more on bespoke projects like this, see Auto News Magazine.
