Billed as "the world's most powerful diesel SUV", the Audi SQ7 will go on sale in Europe from mid-May. In its home market of Germany, prices start at €89,900 (equal to $101,910), with customer deliveries to commence this summer. Audi has yet to decide whether the SQ7 TDI is a fit for the United States, but with the ongoing 'Dieselgate' saga, we wouldn't bet on it.

At its heart, it carries a new 4.0-liter TDI, benefiting from an electric powered compressor (EPC), making its first appearance in a production vehicle. It produces 435 PS (429 HP) and 900 Nm (664 pound-feet) of torque, channeled to an all-wheel drive system through an 8-speed automatic transmission, allowing the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and up to an electronically limited top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
