🚀 Key Takeaways:
• Fabrizio Giugiaro returns to reshape his own 2003 Gallardo design.
• The Hommage 26 produces up to 552 horsepower from its V10.
• Limited to 25 units at roughly $1 million each, donor car required.

Lamborghini Gallardo Design still looks like it was drawn with a stealth fighter in mind. Fabrizio Giugiaro, son of the legendary Giorgetto, shaped the original car at Italdesign in 2003. Now a Spanish engineering firm called Cavën Atelier has given him a second pass at his own masterpiece.

Reworking the Lamborghini Gallardo Design Silhouette

The Hommage 26 starts with a donor Gallardo, then nearly every panel gets replaced with carbon fiber. Giugiaro’s original thinking on the Gallardo remains the blueprint here. Only the roofline and glass survive, while the front end gains modern lighting and pop-down headlights.

Out back, a reshaped fascia carries massive rectangular exhaust pipes. Integrated active aero panels borrow a page from the Pagani Huayra. Ultimately, the proportions look lower, sharper and more purposeful than the factory car ever managed.

Engine Bay Upgrades Lift the Output

Beneath the skin, the 5.0-liter V10 now spins to 8500 rpm. GT trim makes 533 horsepower, while Performance spec pushes to 552 horsepower. Active suspension, upgraded brakes and 20-inch wheels complete the hardware, and the chassis composure should be far more confident than the donor’s original setup.

A Million-Dollar Gamble on Restomods

The price sits at roughly $1 million, and you must supply your own donor car. Only 25 examples are planned, which makes this a clear test of how far the restomod market will stretch. Even so, the Gallardo’s all-wheel-drive grip is a foundation worth respecting.

Cavën Atelier also hints at a series of reboots, with designers revisiting their old work. Imagine Ken Okuyama returning to the Enzo. On paper, that sounds thrilling. In reality, buyers will need very deep pockets. Meanwhile, a standard Lamborghini Gallardo remains an accessible way to enjoy this shape. Pair one with an Akrapovič exhaust and you have the purest version of Giugiaro’s vision. Few cars capture the Lamborghini Gallardo Design quite like this one.
