Audacious reimagines the Audi Quattro with a 10,000rpm V8 from the RS4, up to 750bhp and a claimed 200mph top speed.
Reborn Audi Quattro
🚀 Key Takeaways:
• The Reborn Audi Quattro from Audacious packs a 10,000rpm V8.
• Output climbs to 750bhp with a claimed 200mph top speed.
• Strictly 50 examples will be built, starting at £350,000 before VAT.

The Reborn Audi Quattro is not a museum piece. Edinburgh specialist Audacious has built its IV around a 10,000rpm V8 that could push the car to a claimed 200mph. Only 50 will be built, and no two will be identical.

Inside the Reborn Audi Quattro Build

Audacious chose the B7-generation Audi RS4 (2006-2008) for good reason. Its 4.2-litre V8 blends modern refinement with analogue engagement. Its Torsen differential also biases power rearward, which the current RS3 with its front-biased Haldex system cannot match. Founder Mac Zaglewski ruled out the RS3 entirely because its five-cylinder cannot accept a manual gearbox.

On paper, the engine menu is the headline. A supercharged 4.2-litre produces 600bhp, while the Stage Two package lifts that to 750bhp. The most ambitious version revs to 10,000rpm and can drop its blower altogether. Few road cars chase that kind of engine speed, though the Porsche Mission S shows where the appetite for high-revving internal combustion remains.

Carbonfibre Shells Change the Maths

Weight targets of 1,400-1,450kg for Quattro shells and 1,200kg for carbonfibre bodies tell the real story. Audacious expects around 80% of production to use carbonfibre, which sidesteps the scarcity of pristine donor cars. Bodywork borrows from the Group B rally Quattro, though the badges are Audacious’s own design.

Inside, the dashboard, instruments and switchgear are all new, paying homage to the Quattro’s brutalist cabin. Electronic wingback seats from the RS4 survive the overhaul. Digital displays, however, have been removed entirely.

Collector Future Looks Strong

Pricing starts at £350,000 before VAT, excluding donor cars, transport, registration and specification. Build time runs roughly three years from commission to road, so patience is a prerequisite. Ultimately, the bet rests on scarcity. Fifty individually tuned Reborn Audi Quattro cars should attract collectors who missed the original, and first deliveries land late next year.

Disclaimer: Pricing and specifications are based on manufacturer figures and remain subject to final configuration and local regulations.
