Startech, part of the Brabus Group, has made what we think is one of the most unique Range Rover in existence. Set to premiere at the Auto Shanghai 2015 Show starting April 20, the new Startech Pickup is based on the latest Range Rover models.

Starting with the obvious modifications, this pickup styling is made possible through 100 new body pieces made from aluminum, carbon fiber and steel. The pickup bed itself is welded directly to the roof and new C-pillars are added to support it. For those wondering how big this bed really is, it has a closed loading length of 43.3 inches. When the tailgate is opened, either by a push of a button on a remote control or in the cockpit, an additional 24 inches are added.

Providing 526 hp to the wheels is a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 engine. This power is enough for a 0-62 mph time of 5.3 seconds and a limited top speed of 155 mph. This power, in conjunction with the Startech suspension module that can lower ride height by 1.18 inches, means this pickup can handle various terrains and high speeds on the highway.

Aesthetically speaking, aside from the pickup bed, Startech has given the Range Rover a complete overhaul. New pieces, such as the front and rear bumpers, wider fenders, Startech Monostar S forged wheels, rear diffuser, front spoiler, side air deflectors, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lights and more push this pickup even further away from an ordinary Range Rover.

Inside, a mix of fine leather, Alcantara and carbon fiber continue Startech’s dedication to a refined and unique vehicle.
