2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV

The new Blazer EV will use GM’s Ultium platform, but Chevy hasn’t detailed sizes and range numbers for the all-electric compact crossover SUV. We’ll likely see single- and dual-motor configurations—the latter providing all-wheel drive—with an expected high-end SS performance variant at the top and lower-priced single-motor versions at the entry level.

The Blazer EV‘s styling is sharper and more futuristic than its gas-powered counterpart, but the new look doesn’t drastically stray off the track laid out by its predecessor. Chevy’s teaser image shows the SS trim level, with large 12-spoke wheels and aggressive front-end styling, but less sporty versions should get more pedestrian accents. There’s a potential for a closed grille instead of the faux grates seen on the SS, as electric vehicles (EVs) don’t need airflow like internal combustion engines.
