🚀 Key Takeaways:
• The BMW iX4 50 xDrive lists for €86,660 in Germany before delivery.
• Its dual motors produce 463 hp and reach 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.
• The iX4 M60 packs 603 hp, but BMW has not priced it yet.

The BMW iX4 50 xDrive we photographed this week lists for €86,660 in Germany before delivery. That is €10,760 above the €75,900 base price, and this optioned car offers a clear signal of how BMW plans to price its electric coupe-SUV.

Why The BMW iX4 Trades Trunk Space

Below the beltline, the iX4 is essentially an iX3. Both share a 4,782-mm length, a 2,897-mm wheelbase, and the same 108.7-kWh usable battery. The roof, however, sits 40 mm lower and slopes into a decklid spoiler, which costs 30 liters of cargo space.

Still, the trade looks sensible on paper. Rated at up to 828 km (514 miles) WLTP, the 50 xDrive gains 23 km over the iX3. Our earlier BMW iX3 highway test showed how much real-world margin this platform already holds.

Pricing Power Meets Fierce Competition

Driving the 50 xDrive, the two motors deliver 463 hp and 645 Nm (475 lb-ft). The sprint to 100 km/h takes 4.9 seconds, while electronics cap top speed at 210 km/h (130 mph). In the US, the car starts at $66,200 before destination, which says a lot about the global pricing ladder.

The iX4 M60 xDrive, shown in matte Frozen Pure Red, makes 603 hp and 875 Nm (645 lb-ft). That output sits 100 hp above the discontinued F98 X4 M Competition. BMW adds an electronically controlled rear differential and adaptive M suspension, though it is not a full M car. BMW has not published its price, and orders open in Germany in January 2027.

Eucalyptus Green Could Hold Its Value

Enthusiasts will likely value this Eucalyptus Green example more than a conservative grey or black car. Rare paint on a limited production run tends to attract buyers over time. Ultimately, the iX4 makes a strong business case, but the coupe-SUV must justify €86,660 against a crowded segment. Built in Debrecen alongside the iX3, it is a well-engineered answer to a question buyers are still asking.
