Last week, this poor little McLaren 12C bore the brunt without any fault of its driver. It was actually being transported on a semi-truck to get some repairs done. But, the semi-truck got hit by a train which left the Mac mangled in a ditch with around $50,000 worth of damage. After getting stuck on the tracks in Orange Park, Florida, the trailer driver informed 911 warning them he was about to get hit by a train. He pleaded with them to stop the train somehow.
The trailer driver got out of his vehicle and crossed the street. Three minutes later, the train, moving slowly, struck the semi, pushing it down the tracks and damaging the British supercar. The Florida Highway Patrol is now investigating, and have charged the driver of truck with having insufficient undercarriage clearance when trying to cross railroad tracks where trucks are prohibited.
